Here are several things to keep in mind to make sure your ring stays safe and gorgeous for years to come.

  • Purchase insurance. Like any valuable item, it’s a good idea to have your ring insured in case it gets lost, stolen, or damaged.
  • Try not to remove your ring in public. Doing so increases the chance that your ring will be stolen or lost. If you have to take your ring off for whatever reason, make sure to put it somewhere safe.
  • Keep your ring clean. Oils from your hands and everyday exposure to lotions, household chemicals, and other substances can make your ring appear dull. If you feel that your ring could use a touch-up, bring it into the store. We offer courtesy cleanings and checkups.
  • If you notice that your ring rattles or catches on your clothes, bring it in to be looked at. You most likely have a loose stone or a lifted prong, which can be repaired if necessary.
  • Don’t wear your rings while doing strenuous activity like exercising, gardening, and cleaning. In addition to diamonds loosening, you also risk scratching your ring and altering the appearance of it due to the chemicals found in cleaners and salt found in sweat.
  • Find a safe storage place at home to keep your ring in. If you choose to store your new ring in a jewelry box, make sure to separate it from other pieces so that it doesn’t rub against other jewelry.
