What does jewelry redesign mean? Jewelry redesign refers to the transformation of old or broken jewelry into something new. There are many reasons why individuals choose to redesign their jewelry. They may have inherited jewelry that doesn’t really suit their taste or they might be upgrading an existing piece of jewelry and want to incorporate the gemstone(s) in a new piece. Whatever the case, jewelry redesign allows you to utilize the gemstones from jewelry you rarely ever wear into a fashion accessory that you can enjoy every day.

What’s the jewelry redesign process like? First, we’ll take all of the necessary measurements of the gemstones you want incorporated in the new piece. Then we’ll ask some questions to get a better sense of the type of design you’re looking for.  Next, we’ll come up with some different design options for you to consider and after you pick the design you like the most, we’ll go ahead on creating the new piece.

How much does it cost to redesign my jewelry? The cost all depends on the complexity of the new design and the type of metal it’s going to made out of. The good news is that we can scrap the metal from your outdated jewelry piece and put that money towards the new setting. At Kloiber Jewelers, we provide courtesy estimates for all our jewelry redesign projects, so you’ll know how much a new setting will cost before you give the go ahead on creating the new piece.

How long does it take to create my new jewelry piece? Depending on the complexity of the project, it could take anywhere from one to three weeks to redesign your jewelry.

Do I need to make an appointment to discuss redesigning my jewelry? Appointments aren’t necessary but highly recommended. Making an appointment will ensure that you’ll be able to meet with our owner and jewelry redesign expert, Karin.
