As we switch from summer to fall, we put away the t-shirts, shorts, and dresses and bring out the sweaters, pants, and leggings. But as many of you already know, an outfit is only as good as the accessories you pair with it. So which jewelry pieces should you wear with your autumn outfits? Here are the jewelry categories that have been most popular at our store this fall.
Blue Gemstones. With gemstones like sapphires, aquamarine, and blue topaz, it’s no wonder why blue is in right now. The color reminds us of all the summer days spent under the clear, bright blue sky and brings back memories of the time spent at the lake or pool. Blue also has a calming effect, which can be particularly beneficial during stressful fall times, like planning for the upcoming holidays, dealing with heavier year-end workloads, and getting kids ready for back to school.
Pearl Jewelry. The popularity of pearls right now might have something to do with all the gorgeous pearl jewelry we’ve been seeing on models during recent runway shows. Pearls are also one of the most versatile pieces of jewelry you can wear. They look great when worn in either formal or casual occasions.
Dangle and Hoop Earrings. The earring trend for this season is anything but simple. As it gets colder outside, many women like to wear earrings that won’t disappear under winter hats. That’s why we’ve been seeing a lot of interest in earrings that really make a statement and can be seen at all times during the colder months.
Large Links. Women want larger jewelry pieces to wear with some of their heavier clothes.
Engagement Rings. What better way to end the year than with a romantic autumn engagement. Fall provides an opportune time to get down on one knee and ask the love of your life to marry you. You could pop the question in front of a backdrop of multicolored autumn trees, while you’re relaxing by a fire, or even by carving “Will you marry me?” in pumpkins.
